Entertainment Books are currently on sale for $10 off plus FREE shipping. When you sign up for Cashbaq.com you will receive a $5 sign up bonus and get $10 cash back (top right) when you purchase an Entertainment book though their site. You can also get $5 off when you choose automatic renewal. Cheryl (another blogger) mentioned that you will get a postcard reminder about the renewal which you can cancel. Even though they say you will be charged the $5 for canceling, she tried this last year and was not.
Here is the breakdown for our area:
Entertainment Book $25
- $10 (sale)
- $10 (cash back from Cashbaq.com)
- $5 (Cashbaq.com sign-up bonus)
- $5 (when you choose automatic renewal)
You GET $5 after discounts + FREE SHIPPING!

Each additional book is just $15 and still qualifies for the $10 cash back.
So if you buy 2 and only select one for auto renewal- you'll get two books for FREE!
I was hesitant to do the automatic renewal (cuz you just never know, so I opted to just buy one book and get it for FREE.

The coupons aren't just for Tulsa- they have Owasso, Bixby, Sand Springs and Sapulpa- PLUS at the end you'll want to give them your email so you can access all the online coupons. These are printable coupons for a TON of places (from Mexico Lindo's to The Spa to Bounce U) that you can use IN ADDITION to the ones that come in the book!

Deals for the Week- 12/3

Wow, I can't believe how far behind I've gotten. With Thanksgiving and all the craziness of that (we had 11 adults and 12 kids at our dinner), I just haven't had a chance to catch up. But this is the week to do it-- there are some GREAT deals you can catch this week!

Reasors
Most of these are coupons on the front of their weekly ad for this week- I've compared these with the other ads- these are the cheapest out there.

Bar-S Bacon- $0.98 limit 1 w/ coupon
Navel Oranges (4lb bag)- $1.87 limit 1 w/ coupon (Great Deal!)
Red Baron Pizza- 2 for $5 limit 2
3 minute Oats- $0.97 (even the Wal-Mart brand is more expensive than this)
Chuck Roast- $1.98/lb (no limit)
*This is a good price- the cheapest I've found this cut is $2.38 at Sam's Club so you're saving
$0.40/lb!
Azteca Tortillas (10 ct)- 10 for $10 (you can just buy 1 if you'd like)

Wal-Mart
These are the deals I'm "creating" for myself at Wal-Mart this week

Goody Ouchless ponytail holders, headbands, or clips--$2.13
Use $2/1 printable $0.13 after coupon
*there is no print limit on this coupon so stock up now! The coupon expires 12/31/08

Johnson & Johnson "trial" sized First Aid Kits are $0.99 at Walmart. Go here to print a coupon for $3 off any two J&J first aid kits. You should be able to actually purchase three of the $0.99 kits for free using this coupon--or you might be able to get $1 overage if you only purchase two.
*These will be great to keep in the car!

Dr. Pepper 24pk--$7.40 at Sam's
$5.99 when I price-match with the Homeland Store ad

Fresh Express Garden Salad bag- $2.30
$0.99 after price-match with Sav-A-Lot ad

Variety of Apples (Jonagold, Fuji, Gala)- $1.49/lb
$0.79/lb after price-match with Food Pyramid ad

**The great thing about price-matching at Wal-Mart is that there's little effort involved on your part. Just take the competitor's store ad in with you and when the cashier is about to ring up the item to be price-matched, show them the ad. They'll check to see that it matches and type in the new price- Voila! That easy! To be kind- I usually group my items that I want price matched together at the end so that I'm paying attention when the cashier goes to scan it.

Look for another post on the deals I'm going to get at Target this week!

Deals I've gotten this week- Nov. 11

Food Pyramid--
Today is your last day to get a great deal on a Whole Pork Loin roast at Food Pyramid for $1.79/lb. That is a great price! Consider getting two of them. We have a great freezer recipe for Orange Pork Loin. My husband LOVES it and even picky kids eat it!

This week I'll be making homemade granola in the crockpot- and hopefully, homemade yogurt in the crockpot! So check back to see how it goes.

Why start a blog?

Welcome to my first post as a blogger. After a friend started her own blog about all the deals she was saving on in her small town in Kansas, I decided to check out some of the blogs she was finding these deals at. My favorite Mom-blog by far has been www.moneysavingmom.com and she gives a great rundown of all the deals you can find at Target, Wal-Mart and Walgreens, plus a lot of other stores that unfortunately, we don't have in Tulsa. Through this though, I have been able to find many great deals here in our own town through doubling coupons (store and manufacturer's) and price matching.

Through my friend, Jenny, I was introduced to "Once a Month cooking" or as we call it- "Make-Ahead Freezer Meals" where we prepare multiple main courses in one day to place in our freezer to use throughout the month. Through this process, she and I have saved time and money. We are looking forward to teaching other stressed moms this process and will be holding a planning session, hopefully, within the next month. This blog will also serve as a place to help these moms by me posting new freezer meal recipes and upcoming sessions.

So there you go! I had just been learning and saving so much that I felt as if other moms could benefit from it as well. This is a place were all of that information is accessible to those moms looking to save time and money! So let's get started!!
