Food Pyramid--
Today is your last day to get a great deal on a Whole Pork Loin roast at Food Pyramid for $1.79/lb. That is a great price! Consider getting two of them. We have a great freezer recipe for Orange Pork Loin. My husband LOVES it and even picky kids eat it!

Also, today is the last day to get up to 6 cans of Green Giant canned veggies for $.39 a can- even off-brand veggies aren't that cheap!

Chicken Noodle and Tomato soups are on sale as well for $.49 a can- up to 3. That's $.10 cheaper than at Wal-mart right now!

Gala or Red Delicious apples are $.69/lb- stock up and make some apple butter, apple pie filling, or just cut up, add some lemon juice and freeze to use for parties with dip or fondue!

Wal-Mart--

Why start a blog?

Welcome to my first post as a blogger. After a friend started her own blog about all the deals she was saving on in her small town in Kansas, I decided to check out some of the blogs she was finding these deals at. My favorite Mom-blog by far has been www.moneysavingmom.com and she gives a great rundown of all the deals you can find at Target, Wal-Mart and Walgreens, plus a lot of other stores that unfortunately, we don't have in Tulsa. Through this though, I have been able to find many great deals here in our own town through doubling coupons (store and manufacturer's) and price matching.

Through my friend, Jenny, I was introduced to "Once a Month cooking" or as we call it- "Make-Ahead Freezer Meals" where we prepare multiple main courses in one day to place in our freezer to use throughout the month. Through this process, she and I have saved time and money. We are looking forward to teaching other stressed moms this process and will be holding a planning session, hopefully, within the next month. This blog will also serve as a place to help these moms by me posting new freezer meal recipes and upcoming sessions.

So there you go! I had just been learning and saving so much that I felt as if other moms could benefit from it as well. This is a place were all of that information is accessible to those moms looking to save time and money! So let's get started!!
